A course design for military riggers requiring training on
non-standard equipment. Military riggers who may not be
thoroughly familiar with modern freefall parachute systems
including ram-air parachutes. This course takes the basic skills
learned in the military and focuses primarily on modern sport
parachute systems.
This course is a non-certificated course. A military rigger seeking on FAA parachute rigger certificate should attend a FAA Senior or Master rigger course.
USAPR provides training for the following:
Ram-air parachutes - packing, minor repairs and maintenance.
Parachute harness & container systems - minor repairs and maintenance
Pilot parachute Systems - packing (round & ram-air), repairs and maintenance
10-day course with ram-air packing experience
15-day course without ram-air packing experience
